When I think of the month June, I think of excitement. Year after year June proves to be such an exciting month. I can think of so many things that make June so exciting. Summertime is exciting, warm weather is exciting, Father's Day is exciting, my little sister's birthday is exciting, and having an eighth month old baby is extremely exciting! This June certainly did not disappoint, as it was full of so many firsts that I don't ever want to forget.
On June 7th, we bought our first house! It's a three bedroom, two bathroom little starter home with plenty of projects. Everything about this little house, from its picture window to it's backyard is so perfect for our family. We couldn't be more excited to take on this challenge and provide a home for our Ellisyn.
Next on our list of first was Ellisyn's first boating trip. We took E to Stone Reservoir with her Grandma and Grandpa Spicer, two aunts, and cousins. Ellisyn loved being outside and didnt mind the boat at all. She is such a good baby! It is so much fun to have Ellisyn experience something that both Daniel and I grew up doing. I know that Ellisyn will spend many summer days on the reservoir, whether she likes it or not!
Thanks to Ellisyn, Daniel got to celebrate his first Father's Day this month. I can't think of a better holiday than to celebrate Daniel and all he does for me and our sweet baby E. We spent the day together as a family bouncing from one house to the other thanking our Dads and Grandpas for being, well, the best!
Finally, for Jessica's birthday, Ellisyn got to go swimming for the first time. To say she loved it would be a total understatement. E laughed, smiled, and splashed the entire time. I cannot wait to take her swimming more, and her dad is so pleased that she loves the water as much as he does!
Ellisyn continues to be the best baby around. She is ALWAYS happy, even though she doesn't crawl yet. Ellisyn loves to jabber, and will talk over everyone just to hear herself. She doesn't have any teeth, yet, but she loves her baby food and baby puffs and anything grandma and grandpa sneak her. She is the light of our lives, and she made June so exciting this year.
