Day Eight: Liege

Our journey through France and Belgium was quickly coming to an end by day eight, but we couldn't go back to Idaho without visiting Daniel's old stomping ground of Liege, Belgium. Daniel spent a large portion of his mission serving in Liege. I was so looking forward to our two days in Liege, because I had heard so much about the amazing people Daniel served that I wanted to finally put a face to the names I always heard. We met a woman Daniel became very close to throughout her conversion name Jacqueline for lunch when we arrived in Liege. After lunch, she took us around the town to tell us about its history. Jacqueline had to head home on the bus just in time for us to meet the Lapagne family for dinner. This family was so welcoming and so fun to meet. Daniel loved talking with them, and spent nearly four hours catching up.
