The excitement of baby Colton could have satisfied the entire Sargent family for Christmas, but we decided to proceed with the usual Christmas traditions. Christmas Eve seemed to reflect the same, simple perfection of the many Christmas Eves before it at the Sargent household. We had a delicious dinner, followed by our annual viewing of "Christmas Vacation". The anticipation of Santa Claus has never really faded for me and Jessica, we could hardly contain ourselves with the hopes that Saint Nicolas soon would be there.
Breakfast on Christmas morning is mandatory before opening presents. The idea of waiting for breakfast to be cooked and eaten was pure torture as a child, but now this once a year meal is thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Our Christmas day was filled with food, treats, stockings, and presents, but the most wonderful part about Christmas is spending time with our families and celebrating the birth our Savior. We're so thankful for our loving families and our Savior, Jesus Christ.
